Our Goats

We strive for healthy goats with good conformation and a desirable pedigree.

Our tagging system:

    * Right Ear tag = BUCK

    * Left Ear Tag = DOE

    * Green tag = 50% (Registerable) Savanna

    * Orange tag = 75% or better (Registerable) Savanna

    * Yellow tag = Fullblood/ 100% PI Registerable Savanna

Our feeding system:

    * Does- During the summer does and kids get turned out on pasture during the day and called in at night. No grain or creep feed is given. The winter months they are on grass hay and switched to grass alfalfa a month prior to kidding.

    * Weaned kids- From weaning to 9 months, kids are on a quarter pound of grain and soybean hulls per day as well as good quality hay. After that we only feed them good quality hay.

    * ALL goats are on free choice mineral and cobalt and trace salt blocks.
